The R&D “Big Cam” Engine Idle Timing Kit is a simple screw-on kit that allows the original OEM AIC (Air Idle Control) stepper motor to be removed from the throttle body and replaced. by a fully adjustable needle valve assembly.

The R&D kit allows for precise tuning and locking of idle air volume when using/installing “High Lift”, “Longer Duration” camshaft kits, as well as packages Narrower LSA (Lobe Separation Angle).

When aggressive camshaft lift times and LSA adjustments are made, engine vacuum drops or drops, and idle becomes more difficult or almost impossible to stabilize or control, especially with the AIC engine. “Vacuum Referenced” OEM.
