To liner an original unlined block, you must start by knocking out the cylinder housings in order to enlarge the diameter to allow the installation of a dry liner. This operation is quite delicate because it is still necessary to leave enough material between each cylinder to maintain the integrity of the block. It is sometimes necessary to machine the housing of a collar for perfect positioning of the liner. Each shirt is then pressed into each hole, then it is machined on the surface to obtain a perfect joint plane. After inspection, we carry out honing or deglazing of each liner in order to obtain the optimum surface condition for perfect operation and perfect sealing of the segments.
