VHF, essential for your safety.

According to Division 240, a portable, waterproof and floating VHF is mandatory on board all boats sailing more than 60 NM from a shelter (in addition to a fixed VHF). It is simply recommended for coastal navigation less than 2 NM from a shelter.

As this is essential communication and therefore safety equipment, Plastimo recommends that you have a portable VHF when travelling in a dinghy and in addition to your grab bag, whatever your navigation category.
